Hi all!

If i cross my Easter Egger Rooster to one of our RIR ladies our our black sex link gal, what color eggs do you think those hatchlings would eventually lay?

I added pictures of what our rooster looks like and the hens. Not my actual birds just ones of the web, but i dont want to walk outside right now hahaha

They should be anywhere from a light green to lighter olive, but with EE (especially when the EE involved is the roo in the situation) you really can’t say for sure since some Easter eggers lay pink tinted eggs, some green, and some blue. 🤷🏻‍♂️

They will probably be either some shade of brown or some shade of green. You don't know if your roo has one, two or no copies of the blue egg gene so it is just a guessing game.

Without knowing what color egg your rooster hatched out off, I'd plan to get brown, with green being a happy accident.
