Breeding Magpie Call Ducks?

Hi! So I would love to start breeding Magpie Call ducks. I have a blue bibbed Call pair, and I’m wondering what colour ducklings will my blue bibbed pair produce? Will they produce magpies? Thank you!

If both parents are just blue bibbed, then together they will produce only black bibbed, silver bibbed, and blue bibbed ducklings. Barring any surprise recessives, of course!

To get Magpie, you need the Runner (pied) gene. A Magpie call is one that is bibbed plus has two copies of the Runner gene, and then you selectively breed for the best patterning.
