One of my hens went broody which i wanted one of them to do. only thing is that it gets into the 80-90 degree range and she sits there and pants all day do you think a fan would hurt?

A fan would be great! Also, make sure her water is cold.....you may have to change it a few times a day. They dont like warm water, and with her setting...she will definately need cold water in the hot coop. Maybe freeze a pop bottle of water...and set it in her water dish.

70 to 80 degrees is best and fresh water. The fan will work if you don't let it blow on her. If you have two windows in the coop, try an exhast fan in one. The hen knows best, she will not set there if she gets to hot. Try to shade the coop if you can, this will help also.
