Broody Hen???!!!!!

How do I keep a hen from sitting? I know she has been for 3 weeks now.

We did it by taking away all her eggs as soon as we could, keeping her of the nest, and making sure she was eating and drinking. Also, her own hormones are bringing up her body temp and telling her to sit, so a cool bath or replacing her eggs with ice cubes helps. Dont worry, the ice wont hurt her. Good luck!

I have used the wire cage technique many times, and it has worked well for me.

I am praying for one! ugh

How can you resist sticking a few fresh chicks under her? That is the best way to raise chicks! Even two or three, nothing is more fun than a broody hen and chicks.
