Bruising or Pus Under Skin? Photo!

I posted in another thread about my rooster who was attacked by a fox last Saturday. His wounds are healing well but his neck remains very swollen. He just started pecking at his food. Up until today he was syringe fed. I'd like to know if this is pus under the skin or bruising? He is a silkie so his skin is already darker. Thanks in advance!

Based on what I can see on the picture, there's only one area that looks like it might be pus (see pic below). Everything else looks like healing tissue to me.
