Looking to buy 1 pullet--old enough to roam, but not yet laying preferred. Would consider any breed suitable for central indiana and a good layer. For pick up in central indiana. Thanks!

There's a guy near Goodland, IN that has Standard and Bantam Barnvelders. He has some pretty birds. Would you drive that far?

I'd be up for contacting him. I also am open really to anything that'll be a decent layer and has a lower than avg. chance of going broody much. (We started our "flock" with 2 Wyandottes a year ago, and one is always broody--great for some circumstances, not as much for ours) So any leads you have would be great.
