Ok, these GIRLS

are 9 weeks old today. What do you think...hens or roos. I ordered all pullets if that helps in your decision making. The buff orp has always been the biggest chick, but kinda flew under the gender radar because I've always had my eye on the GLW. Thanks for your input!!!

Are you sure they're only 9 wks old? They look like pullets, but older pullets.

I say hens. The first photo looks a lot like our Buff Orph (who is a girl). Yours just has a little more red.

The BO looks like a girl which is just redder, my roo at 7 weeks looked like this

just today at 11 weeks like this

I think the GLW looks like a pullet. But I have to ask... did he/she feather out quickly or slowly? I have a GLW cockerel (pretty sure) that is 23 days old, and just started getting his tail in a couple of days ago. Very large legs, very heavy compared to the other chicks, and very slow to feather. I don't know if this is a sign with all GLW's, but mine seems to be showing all the signs of roo...

This pic is 20 days old.
