building new coop

I have decided that I need a new coop, my other one is worn down and a bit raggedy. So my new coop that I need a design for would need to accomodate 7 chickens. If there's a link you have with a materials list and a design that would be very helpful.

Hi chickenboy, welcome to the BYC forum!

First, I suggest you look at the coops here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/coopdesigns.html

Plans are scarce as most people seem to build coops out of whatever materials / scraps they have on hand. If you end up building a coop, take lots of pics along the way and we'll add yours to the site linked to above. (BTW, if anyone else wants to add their coop to the site shoot me a note: nifty@ backyardchickens.com)

thank you nifty-chicken those gave me some good ideas. I'm planning on making An 8x6' coop, how much money do you think i'll have to dump into that
