Button Quail pics, now 5 weeks old! *UPDATED with New Pics!*

are your buttons tame because mine run crazy, like they are scared to death of me

No they aren't very tame even though since they hatched me and my 5 yr old granddaughter played or tried to handle them often. They are like 4 weeks old and real scary; nothing like raising a chicken. Trying to catch them to clean them out is a chore cause they can fly. But we still try and talk to them and hold them so maybe the will get more familiar to us but I don't think they imprint like chicks. How old are yours?

i have had three different sets nine monthes , three monthes and two weeks and they are all flighty, i have tried handling them a lot and it doesnt seem to make any difference,

They are not really the handling type of birds. More for eye candy

are the larger quail the same way,i dont really want to hold them but would like them not to be so afraid of me.
