Their Fabric Frenzy Section has $3 a yard fabric by top name brands and is great quality.

I have gotten great fabrics from them and if you order $150 worth, you get free shipping, which is a huge saving. I don't know about anyone else, but it is really easy to spend $150 when buying up $3 a yard fabric.

You need a 1/4 inch seam guide foot for your machine. You might even have one in with your machine accessories. You just run your fabric against the guide and it keeps your seams even.

A cheap but effective solution is to carefully measure 1/4 inch from your needle hole and place a thick stack of pieces of blue painter's tape (parallel to your seams) to use as a guide.
If you take a roll of blue painters masking tape and cut across it (through several thickness' of tape) in two places about 3 inches apart then you can pull off a thick stack of about 6 pieces of tape and put it on your machine bed to act as a guide for your fabric.
You may have to move it a few times to get it just right. Dont use regular masking tape or other tapes because they will leave a sticky residue on your machine. The blue tape wont.

It really helps a lot.
Here is a site that gives good advice on getting a scant quarter inch seam.

Welcome one and all.

Sorry your having such a rough time Coyote. Keeping ya in my prayers.

I know Christmas is over, but I've been plotting for some time on crafts to do this summer, and now all the holiday fabric is on clearance -- anyone have some good quilted-look tree skirt patterns they could guide me to? I'm looking for a patchwork-style tree skirt pattern, and am having no luck. Everything I find is appliqued reindeer and snowmen.
