call ducks for 4-H

My sons have call ducks for 4-H this year. We have never shown ducks before. Do you clip the wings of ducks that are going to be shown at county fairs or is this not a good thing to do?

I would think that wing clipping should not be done on birds scheduled for showing.

That was my thoughts. I'm afraid that the ducks will get away form them and just fly off. They have done this at our house but they come back. But at the fair I'm not sure what they will do. Anybody have experience with this happening?

Keep them enclosed in a covered run.
