Can a chicken vomit???

I watched one of my ducks do that once it freaked me out. Hubby assured me it was normal.

what if the chicken continues to vomit and it isn't a clear liquid but more of a grain colored liquid because that is the case with one of my chickens and it also has a small/medium sized squishy lump on it's breast. please respond.

This exact same thing happened to one on my Easter eggers. Is your hen ok still? Aln I've noticed that my Easter eggers loves to eat snow, did you noticed that with your hen?:/

My rooster threw up water its ok though! they will vomet one time mines got stuck on food i had to push her throw up up

So Glad I found this thread!. I just got my first scary intro to this. My daughter was carrying our fav hen (at a slightly downward angle) & I saw clear fluids spill out. It was a very hot day so we quickly brought her inside to the tile. She enjoyed the A/C & attention. She's fine.

I just experienced one of my pullets vomit water and immediately came to this site to research this. I love this site.....It always has answers!!

Phew, just watched (and heard!) a hen vomit right in front of me and freaked out!
