Can I eat this egg?

I just got my first ever egg! I know for sure it is at the most 2 days old. I never check all the corners of the coop but when I was cleaning out the coop I found it. It wasn't there 2 days ago when I did my previous cleaning. When I put it in a glass of water it sinks...I know most wouldn't bother but its my FIRST egg! What do you think?

Float test. Place the egg in water. If the egg sinks it is fresh and can be eaten. If it floats it is old and should be discarded. Good luck.

it takes way more than two days for an egg to spoil, yeah its fine

If the egg sinks, it's okay. It's when it floats that it's rotten. You could crack it into a bowl and check it out before you add it to anything if you like. AND, Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm still waiting on my girls.

It's fine to eat and the first egg always taste best. Might have something to do with all the waiting.
