can i feed my chicks garlic?

I put garlic in my horses' feed to keep the flys away.When my horses' sweat ,they smell like pot roast...

You could give it a try ? They may not eat it.
 
Garlic, lemon pepper, and cajun seasoning--the holy trinity of cooking....anything!!

Seriously though, I wonder if it would "taint" the eggs? I know strong vegetation will effect the flavor of milk....hmmm. I don't think it would pre-season the eggs and I doubt it would make any significant difference to the meat, but it might make the eggs taste "off" if they ate enough of it.

I assume when you said can you feed garlic to your chickens to flavor them that you plan on butchering the chickens. If that is the case I think you would need to feed them a lot of garlic. I had a bunch of roosters that I free ranged and when I went to butcher them they all wreaked of wild onions, the green ones that come up in the spring. They smelled so bad, and were very small I did not eat them. Consequently I think it would be possible to flavor the meat but to the extent and exact flavor I am unsure.
