Can they have bird seed, millet mix, wheat, BOSS as a treat?

I can't find a definitive answer about birdseed (not from the bird feed, but bought just for the chickens)
The gal at the feed store said chickens can have it but I wanted to check with you all
are there dangers?

There are no dangers, just don't over do it. It is a treat, not a main part of their diet. I use BOSS as a bait. I toss a big scoop into the pen with my 29 birds, close the trap door, and pick up eggs, do chores, etc without them bothering me, or the roo from hell spurring me.

You can also use the treats to make ur birds more tame especially if u didn't by them as chicks. Just put it on the ground closer and closer to you til they are eating out of ur hand.
