Ok, so I bought my first 2 four week old splash Australorp chicks from our local chicken swap today. I just realized that one has dark blueish legs whereas the other has light yellowish legs. I know for a fact that they are full-blooded because the man was a vendor right next to me and we talked for the majority of the time (5 hours) about our animals. He even showed me pics of his set up and how he keeps like breeds together to eliminate the chance of mixed breed breeding. I was curious if perhaps the different leg colors could possibly be a way to determine gender, or if it's just a genetic thing? TIA
