There are some that were recommended to me but that i dont have any personal experience with. Most of them were really quick at responding to me though for any questions I had re their stock.

Briarwood is in BC and have a nice variety of heritage breeds http://briarwoodpoultry.weebly.com/ they also have a facebook page.

Greendale Heritage too has some really nice breeds! http://greendaleheritagefarm.com/

Yes nothing against the big hatcheries just looking to buy a bit closer to home. Nice to have options.

I am willing to make my own but would need to be directed to recipes that are solid. I don't want my chickens to suffer experimentation!

I just heard about www.homesteadorganics.ca in Berwick Ontario. Anyone have experience with them?
