Canker or thrush?

Hi everyone! I have a little chick approx 5 weeks old, that doesn’t eat much and I only recently noticed some crustiness on the corners of its mouth, so I looked inside and found this yellow stuff. I have never seen this before. After some google searches I have realised it’s either canker or thrush. I’ve ordered some Ronivet-s online because at first I thought it was canker, so that’s on its way, but should I be treating it for thrush? Thank you in advance.

Thank you🥰

I’m in Australia

I don’t have any other chickens. It’s just him. It’s hard to explain but I took him home from a not so good place because he looked like he was dying. He’s doing much better except for this mouth thing. I feel so bad for the little thing😞

Thank you for your knowledge on this and for the link. It doesn’t have a smell which is a relief. I very much hope it’s thrush! Canker sounds very difficult to treat.
