Caponized cockerels still acting like roosters

So birds were about 12-16 weeks old when surgery was done?
Seem a bit old, most are done before 8 weeks.
Surprised you found a vet to do this, is he an avian vet?

I’ve no experience, but if these Roos are mounting the egg layers, couldn’t the OP keep an eye out for the “bullseye” on the yolks? If one is seen, then definitely something was missed during surgery!!
