I am so sorry that happen. Its so sad. But i wanted to share a similar thing that happen to my goose last summer. He stuck his head in to my dogs pen and the dog grabbed him and chewed on his neck and it was all bloody and all feathers were gone. It looked horrible. But we put Vaseline all over its neck to keep the flies off and in no time it healed and grew its feathers back. So you might want to remember that for next time.
