Cayuga Ducks??

We are currently looking into raising some Cayuga ducklings. We've tried to do as much research as we can. We have one dog, a pointer/pit bull mix of some sort, and that worries us. Any suggestions? Our county only allows two ducklings. Has anyone had terrible experiences with such a low number? I could use any advice.

Two ducklings is okay! I would never recommend getting just one since ducks are very social birds. I have raised a "flock" of just two ducks and they were very happy. No need to worry.

I started out with just a male and female Cayuga from mypetchicken.com. they were very sweet and he never overmated her.

We're not going to get any males for that reason. Only hens.
