So i got my first duck egg a few days ago. I assumed i wouldn't see anything until spring so there was a little pile of them. I am so curious to know who layed these. I was really hoping my cayuga would give me a black egg, she will be 2 this year but i just got her in the fall. i also have a cayuga/khaki cross. She was said to be 6 months when i got her. So im wondering if anyone has cayuga khaki crosses and what their eggs look like? Or if you think this was likely my older pure cayuga duck. Im not even sure shes a cross.. but she looks like a cayuga except has brown spots on her backside. She has an orange bill and feet and isnt quite as shiny. I also have a khaki campbell and pekin but i assumed the black soot on the egg meant cayuga.
