I'm late to this party, but I have a batch of Silkies hatching right now, and would be more than happy to do weekly photos as they grow. I'm even a photographer, so I could get real fancy and use my "big" camera for extra-high-definition images, lol!

Anyone who takes pictures is a photographer.

Taken today....guess who started crowing? Yep one of the pullets. Can you guess which one? I also wanted to add....the crow was weak and only twice while I watched right after the rooster crowed this pullet stretched her neck and followed with her crow.

Seems strong woman run on the farm family here.

I'm so sorry, I completely missed this.
They've grown into very pretty girls. The crowing is a tad disturbing lol.

Well it’s a vocalization not really a crow sounds like she is saying awechoo....but it’s fast and short...and not loud thank goodness. No saddle feathers no hackles weird tail and eye color as well as a cockerel stance....but it’s a female as far as I am concerned second dominant hen on the place....must be lots of male hormones in the water here.....be checking myself for chest hair now. LOL

Molly was born on the night of the 7th. She’s a lavender buff Orpington. She was feather sexed as a lady at one day old, but have no idea at this point. She's super sweet and absolutely loves my fiancé. She’s got nice large legs and is a fast grower. Gunna name her with inspiration from the Rocky movies if she’s a Rooster. Ideas?

Molly was born from a single refrigerated egg and is our miracle baby. Molly’s mom, Ginger had only layed eggs for a few weeks and Rocky is so young that he had only dated Ginger a few times before making the egg that ended up in the incubator. Will include updates as she grows... (the fist photo is Molly at 17 days old)

Hello this is my baby Misty! I bought Misty from a farm and unfortunately had a falling out with the owner since my other chick was sold to me with a pasty butt and had a vent prolapse and unfortunately passed away. Misty is doing great and is now two weeks old. I was wondering if Misty is a hen or a rooster! Misty is a lavender cochin. Thank you!
