I had a hen in my first flock (dominicker) whose eye was sorta dislocated and hung down inside her face for a bit. Had no idea what to do and no internet at the time and somehow she bounced back and lived a looong time. Chickens are wildly Hardy- hope she recovers. Head wounds always bleed a LOT
Gosh I am going thru this as well. My chicken had her whole head scalped plus going down one side, as well from a coon. Lots of care, had to syringe feed. If you can get farm animal antibiotics as well electrolytes in her would be good. Agree with the ointment treatment non aspirin. Here is my hen picture. Her eyes were shut as well, I am guessing from all the blood. Within two weeks, her feathers came back on her face. They do heal very quickly. I am still waiting on her head area to heal. Just sharing on hope of survival possibilities on your decision. People on this site really helped me save my chicken, which is my pet.
