I may be mistaken, but Canada makes me think lots of snow..
I live in South western British Columbia. We just had the worst "winter "in several years which meant -11C on the coldest night and just over 2 inches of snow that stayed for a couple weeks. Yesterday was partly cloudy and 7c. I expect my girls will be out in the run most days of the year. I do however have the coop and run against a fence on one side and am likely going to take your advice and enclose the end furthest from the coop, leaving only one side of the run completely exposed. Thanks for the input everyone. Will post pictures in a few days.
