Mites! Yikes!
Tomorrow morning we need to dip our flock for the first time. Tropical mites...nasty critters. Using permethrin 10%, 3 oz to 5 gal and then spraying everything else.
Our beautiful baby roo might have a new home, and if that works out, we can move my Easter Egger, Hope, and her coop mate, Fancy Pants, a FBCM, into the mothership, Fluffbutt Flophouse.
Sounds like a busy, messy morning!
Any tips we should know about?

Everyone dipped, everything sprayed and cleaned,, no one happy!
Used full length gauntlets from hardware store to keep the permethrin off of our arms, wiped little faces and heads with a face cloth dipped in solution.
Need to check and retreat in a couple days.
