Help please? One of my PR hens is limping. She started limping once when she was about 2 months old. Over time she got better. Then about a 2 or 3 weeks ago she started limping slightly again and seem to be doing better. Today she is limping worse then ever. And favors that left leg. I can't seem to find anything on her leg and she is otherwise healthy. Eating and drinking a out with the others. Please don't tell me it's Mareks Disease.
Here feathers are just perfect and she is very alert and active. So can anyone help me with my girl. She is 8 months old now and laying eggs almost daily.
Thank you all. This is the first place I come, when I have a question.

Take a look at the bottom of her foot. If you see a black circle, it's probable that she has bumblefoot - look here for threads on that. Bumblefoot is a staph infection in their foot usually caused by stepping on something that scratches or tears the bottom of their foot and it gets infected. Hope this helps! gail
