I've decided to create a thread for chicken owners who don't have a clue what to name their chickens!! Post how many names you want and catagory them boy and girl. Hope this thread helps, happy hatching!

I just got 7 Americana chicks, but I'm not going to name any of them until I see what color egg each one lays then give each hen a name corresponding to that color.

Omg I wish my chicken layed bluish green eggs!Jade is a silkie so she lays white eggs, o well

Pick a theme. I have an old west bunch, Polly, Clementine, etc. and my new babies are named after country music singers, Reba, Cassidy, Madrid, etc.

Our Australorp rooster is Thomas Brown, buff Orp is Goldie (original, I know), barred Rock is Zoomer (named by my niece), Welsummer is Penny, and the two RIR's are Rosie and Lucy. We had a white roo named Noodle but had to rehome him.

Just got our first babies yesterday!
Assuming they're all ladies, their names are: June, Patsy, Reba, Scarlet, EmmyLou, & Dolly.
Kind of theme here..ha
