Hi,
Our chickens have begun to roost outside this summer, we have an old horse barn with outdoor stalls attached to the back (covered by a roof). They like to roost on top of the stall doors and dividers. We haven’t had any issues with predators so far but I am concerned about the winter- does this setup provide enough shelter from the cold temps/wind (we live in Indiana) or should we more aggressively try to get them in the coop? They have access to the inside of the barn, but so far have decided not to roost in there either.
Thanks!
