Chickens sunbathing?

not sure if right place to post but it's 60 degrees in Wisconsin in February I think my chickens love the warmth as much as I do

Same here in central Wisconsin, lots of outdoor chicken action here too. It is a wonderful way to spend a February day.

Early spring, dare we hope?

Chickens are craving some vitamin D. They absorb it through their feathers as we do through our skin.

We had a day like that here in Western NY too! Threw open the coop door & windows & got a good cleaning in. Thought my girls would be out laying in the sun but the nosy biddys went out for about 15 minutes then headed back in, as if to supervise me & what I was doing to "their stuff"

I think they do it to collect heat as well. They are all about conserving energy.

Yeah ny chickens have been doing a lot of this,psring never keft,crazy warm weather during the winter,we had some terrible winter days but they keft and brought warm weather.
