Chickens won't use new nipple waterer!! :(

Last week I built a 4 nipple waterer using a 5 gallon bucket. I few of them tried it out and now no one will use it. It doesn't leak and the water is fresh but the chickens sems to prefer the dirty poopy water in their old black rubber bucket. Any suggestions on getting them to use the new waterer. I don't want to take the old one out unti they are using the new one because it is so hot this time of year.

I took the old ones out. They picked it up pretty quickly.

All chickens prefer open water, even if muddy and nasty, BUT they WILL use a nipple waterer, believe me. Take out the old waterer and don't give them an option. In a few hours they all will be using the nipple method.

I'll give it a try. Today is not very hot so it is a good day to try. Thanks for your advice!
