Chicks ate all the grit.

Chicks can be silly. First day out (about 2 weeks old) and what do they do? Eat the dirt and stare at the sun for the first 10 minutes out... I don't buy grit for my birds but they grow up on a dirt floor and can get as much as they want from that.
