This is the first time I've ever had chicks. I ordered 10 chicks from Cackle Hatchery, Barred Rock, Buff Orpington, Black Sex Link, Rhode Island Red, and Easter Egger.I received 15 chicks. Apparently they send extra chicks just in case you lose some. All 15 seem healthy and happy at 4 days old. My husband made a little roost for them and here is a picture of 4 of them sitting on the roost
