Hey everyone,
This is my second time posting about this issue. I have ten chickens that normally stay in their coop at night. Here lately three of them, sometimes different ones on different nights, are choosing to stay outside in the run on top of a perch! I worry about the because the temps are getting lower (I'm in Texas so nothing too drastic.... but we are looking at 30's this coming week)
I followed everyone's advice, checked for mites, and made sure there was plenty of room. They just seem to have a way of their own and a mind of their own. I built them another enclosure with a perch but no such luck. Do I need to worry about them being out like that? It's almost time for them to start laying eggs, and I'd rather them do that in the coop!
Any thoughts or suggestions Are greatly appreciated!
Thanks and take care!
Neil
