citrus?

ok, I've been hearing NO citrus from some, others say citrus is fine, but they dont like the peel. Whats up? If you say no citrus, why is it bad? or is just that they dont like it? Thank you!
 
Citrus is fine as a treat.
As far as acidity go's, depending on the type of citrus it would be no different than some people adding vinegar to the water every day.

The problem is when people offer a lot of low pH (high acid) food into there poultry diet weather it be citrus, vinegar etc.

Don't feed citrus foods to often. It's acidy, thought to interfere with calcium absorption and can cause soft shelled eggs if fed reguarly. My chickens don't even like it!
 
Thanks so much for the help, much appreciated. Sometimes we have pieces of a cutie, orange, etc left over and I hate to toss it. Good to know its ok occasionally.
