City of Ashes RP ~~Players Needed~~

Isabella looked in over Beatrix's shoulder. It was some kind of a lab, with white walls, white floors, basically white everything. There was a film of dust on everything, and a chemical scent in the air. The only illumination came from Isabella, as she tried to light it up. Not much use, though, because Beatrix was in the way of her light. She would have to get in there for them to be able to see anything. What they could see from it, though, were beakers with different-colored liquids in them, official-looking papers, and lab equipment, all giving her the impression that whoever was here had left in a hurry. What had happened here?

Beatrix walked in, quietly offering a prayer of thanks that there were no spiders, giant or otherwise. The smell wasn't exactly pleasing though, making her feel vaguely nauseous. She began examining the room.

"Friendly advice," Beatrix said to no one in particular, "Try not to knock anything over. Oh, nice, that one's hot pink." She drew a finger across a dusty metal table and made a face. "Pretty Twilight Zone. Maybe there'll be a nice copy of 'How to Serve Man'."

Isabella looked at her in horror. "How to serve... what?" She turned a corner and gave a little squeak at a red stain on the wall, a fluid covering the floor. Stepping around it, she accidentally kicked a shattered bottle on the ground, with the liquid on the glass. She let out the breath she had been holding as she realized that the beaker containing the liquid had fallen over. She watched as Garret tried to turn on the lights. They went on, for a second, then fizzled out. Dang... She opened a cupboard, close to the ground. "Hey, guys! There's flashlights over here."

Jo, after trying to get the others to come down with them, headed down into the tunnel. He entered the room and headed over to where Isabella was, taking a flashlight. Turning it on, he could see that it was a bit dim, and flickered from tim to time, but it was better than nothing. He passed it to Beatrix; he didn't need it, with his vision.
