I hatched 5 ducks in my 2nd grade classroom. These eggs came from my parents who have muscovies, mallards, pekins, and khaki campbells.
This is a pic of all 5 of them kinda smooshed together.
We kept two of them. The smallest one because I kinda have a soft spots for runts.... And this black and yellow one.... I'm not sure what breed(s) this one is, but he/she is very interesting looking. I can't wait to see what he/she looks like when grown....
The kids just love to watch them!! I will keep them in the classroom for another week or so before they come home!!
(They were in this tub while I was cleaning the brooder.)
