Good morning all
I recently purchased a used coop. It is made of wood. My questions is what is the best way to clean it out and make sure it is mite free?
Thanks in advance!

Don't screw around with herby natural homepathics.
For disease bacteria... something like Oxine.
For mites...spray unto soaking, especially cracks and crevices, with permethrin.

If it's been vacant for a few years, it just needs scraping out. If it very recently held chickens, do everything you can to clean it, and spray for mites too.
Maybe also paint or stain the interior after cleaning it out.

How long do you keeps the chicks out if you spray with permethrin
