Cochin Thread!!!

My Marc Sacre line Chocolate Orpington has decided she likes it better in the bantam Cochin coop. As a result, my broody hens hatched 2 of her eggs that I must have missed. I was excited when I noticed 2 little chocolate babies amongst the mottled babies. But am even more excited that I have a pair, a smooth pulley and frizzled cockerel. Might have to hatch a couple more.

So cute the little frizzle reminded me of a ballerina.

Hey all!
Was wondering if you might be able to tell me the sex/color of these babies? The grayish ones. I'd call them silver if they were iridescent. They're smooth silkies (silkie/Cochin) or cochins.

Photo 1 is both, 2&3 are Hope, and 4&5 are Grace.

Thanks!

In the first photo the grayish chicks are more on the Cochin side Hope is a roo Grace looks like a pullet. From the pictures there color is blue splash or possibly Porcelain. If they have 4 toes they are Cochin 5 toes would indicate silky Cochin mix.

They look more Self Blue (a.k.a. "Lavender") to me. Do you know what color the parents were? The only way you would have any Splash chicks would have to be from a Blue to Blue, or a Blue to Splash mating.

Unfortunately, we got them at a tractor supply store, where they kept ALL the bantams in the same brooder. We only knew what we were getting because we made sure they had feathered feet.
Thanks for your help!
