This is the Cochin thread! You can talk about or post pictures of your Cochins of any colour (does not have to be a recognized colour), any size (bantam, or large fowl), any age, male or female, you can even post pictures of birds that are crossed with a Cochin. Have fun!!!!

Here are some of my cochins! I am such a sucker for feathered feet!

This is my little Barred Cochin pullet, bantam. She still needs a name, but she is so sweet!

In this one, there is my Gold Laced cockeral, Bantam, His name is Golden Boy

This is my little Silver Laced cockeral, bantam. I am pretty sure he is a he, but not 100%. He has a big comb but his brother is REALLY red, this guy is barely pink.

And I saved the best for last! This is my main man, Boss. He is the biggest sweetie pie EVER! He calls me when he find some thing in the yard, picks it up and puts it in front of me! He is my far my favorite and as sweet as he is handsome. He is a standard Partridge Cochin.

All these pictures were just taken today!

My flock grew out to be For Sure 3 cockrels and 1 pullet :barnie

The only pullet is the black smooth feathered bird. The frizzle was first in line for keeps but he tried to flog me today so  still a partridge and a (poor example) gold laced. I guess im telling dh to keep the partridge.

Been about a year since I have checked in. Been spending more time on my own FB page Craigs Cochins, Cochins Across America, Cochins International. Been showing and made Master Exhibitor and Master Breeder in ABA and APA in Black Cochin Bantam. Glad to see some still use this forum. I was on here before Splash or Self Blue were ABA recognized varieties. I still breed and exhibit Black, Columbian, Buff Columbian, Brown Red, Blue, Silver Laced.

I guess this thread got forgotten. Anyone else want to share their cochins? I'm looking forward to adding a few more next year both standard and bantam. They do well here in our cold Wisconsin winters.

My bantam mottled cochin, she was 13 weeks here, she's now almost 16 weeks. I only have 1 cochin, we can only have 4 chickens in the city. I have 5, lol. 3 bantam EEs and a bantam Polish.
