Ok thanks I was pretty certain too but was hoping against hope. This is my 3 yr old son's who he named Nickel. We are all very attached to him

Aww, sorry . Seems like the cockerels are the most loving and friendly.

If you can't keep a rooster, maybe you can find some white leghorns the same age and switch out for a pullet when he is not looking. The hens have big combs and he may not notice.

Thank you yes sadly we might have to do this, even though he will definitely notice and so will his sister. They adore his crows in the morning now too.
