Colorado Hatching Eggs Thread

Cindy that is quite an offer! If I had space I'd take you up on a couple of those in a heartbeat! What are the Ayam Cemani like to live with? Are they flighty, calm, accepting of confinement? I have never known anyone with them, and know very little about them other than they are black everywhere and pretty rare. Same questions about the Olandsk Dwarf.

What is it that makes a color proper Tolbunt? I have yet to raise a Polish although I've hatched several chicks, they seem very docile and clownish. Usually as soon as they hatch they're sold, although right now I have a few left from the last hatch I'm thinking about keeping.

I'm with you Pozees, it's hard to pass up such an offer of rare breeds! We have a polish and love her. She's not the friendliest but she's not flighty either. She's fun to watch. I would love a Tolbunt Polish but I've got all the roos I can handle.

I don't know if you have gotten your pullets, but I have 2 Easter Eggers that are lovely and looking for a home. I am in Littleton. Let me know soon. I posted a craigslist add with several responses, but I would feel better if someone from BYC took them.

He is looking for large fowl. A raccoon broke into his coop last night and killed 4 of his pullets. it was a sad day for his flock. his live trap is up and going this evening.
