Comb type? What type of mix could he be?

I got this handsome boy from a lady when he was younger who didn’t know what breed he was. I’ve never seen a comb like his, so I was wondering which category it would fall under. Guineas picked on him a few months ago, but we’re starting to see new weird black spots on the ends of the comb spikes recently. Disease? Remnants of injury becoming more visible?
What type of breed mix do you think he could be?

It's huge! It looks like a walnut comb with spikes! He sure is beautiful. I have no idea breed hopefully someone that knows will answer. Gorgeous bird
