Comb type

I geek out on chickens and quail. I breed them both and donate the birds! It’s my 43 year old midlife crisis I guess hatching babies. I have 2 kiddos but I may like the birds better 🤫
Because EEs typically have at least one pea comb gene. You need two single combs to get a bird that has a single comb. If you have just one single gene, it won't show

I needed to jump on and ask a question, and I found this thread so I figured I'd ask here.

I have what looks like a buttercup comb on a chick. It's a Olive Egger Backcross so a Olive Egger hen with a modified pea comb with a Welsummer or BCM rooster are his parents.

What do you think?
