Concerned Egg Laying

When did she start laying? Is the acting normal - eating, drinking, foraging, etc.? What do you feed you chickens?

She is today but she’s doing more dirt baths than I’ve seen her so. I noticed her first eggs on Tuesday of last week and there were two in there. So I think she may have started on Monday… and she is drinking, eating and foraging, but she was sitting in a little hole she made in the ground earlier for a while. I’ll attach the pic I took of her.

Also I am feeding them Purina Layena pellets, and just started giving them oyster shells yesterday. Never knew that was a thing til I read someone else’s forumz

Okay, since she's a new layer, I don't think there's anything to worry about. Her system is still adjusting, and it's common for chickens to lay some weird eggs in the beginning. As long as she is not acting sick, and the weird egg don't continue, then she'll be fine.
