Coop Deville in operation!

Converted a 10x15 storage shed to a raised coop with run underneath and out back. I have a trap door in the floor with a ladder that goes under the floor. Going to put more buckets on the next shelf up Tommorow.

Looks comfy in there, are the buckets for nesting?

Is the chicken wire just to keep the chickens in? Predators can rip through chicken wire in seconds...

Add some poop boards under the roosts with some Sweet PDZ and cleanup is a breeze.

That’s right just to keep them
In when they are out under the building when I am home. I’m a nuisance trapper so I keep traps set around the house. Let’s just say the predator population has been reduced here lol. Still only use that part during the day.

Buckets are for nesting. I just went and checked and one of my golden comets laid her first egg since I’ve got her.

How are you going to get under there if one decides to go broody or or lay or gets sick and isolates under there?
