Hello,
We hatched several baby chicks last Thursday and one of them was a White Leghorn mix, so it had the typical light yellow fuzz. We also got 50 cornish cross on Friday and we put all the chicks in the same brooder for now, so they're all about a week old.
The problem is the cornish crosses are the same color as the leghorn chick and I'm trying to pick the leghorn out amongst the cornish crosses as someone wants to buy him/her. I found the smallest yellow chick and I think he might be the leghorn as he is not as "beefy" as the other 50.
I've temporarily marked his/her head with a sharpie so I can identify this chick from now on.
Any thoughts or ways to tell for sure?
