Hi, we have a young cream legbar hen who’s been laying for a couple of weeks. She came from a local farmyard where there are a few different heritage breeds but separated into different areas so the roos don’t mate across breeds. Our legbar is laying beige eggs :/ We love her and don’t really mind but I’m just wondering if this is the final colour or if it’s possible they will turn blue-green later on? Also if it’s permanent what could cause this, a genetic throwback? She looks as legbar as legbar can be 🤔

Sorry but her egg color will not change. She looks like my EE from TSC/Hoover, lays beautiful big brown eggs. See her crop, she just "pigged out" ... always the first & last to eat ... Her "tuff" didn't show up until she was about 2+ months old. Her egg is on the far right, about 2.4oz
