Cross Beak Chick

Noticed a few days ago that a chick I got a couple weeks ago has developed cross beak. She's 6 1/2 weeks ago and just as pretty as can be. It breaks my heart!

I have trimmed her top beak back a bit, which was an adventure, but it's evened them up a little. I'm concerned about her eating enough and getting pecked (picked) on by the other chicks, meanies that they can be.

I've read several threads on here about cross beak which gave me the trimming beak idea. Any other advice for this newbie chicken Mama?

Wet the feed if you're feeding it dry. They can scoop it up easier.
