Cross breeding Quail...

never done this before. Only hatched eggs twice. Would putting a California roo into a cage with 4 Coturnix hens work? Would the eggs get fertilized and be good to go? What would come out ????

Sarry not going to work! you will have to stick with the American species of quail,and even then you get sterile chicks. Try a California Valley with a Texas blue scail or a bob white. Do post picks if you deside to do it.
